Nick Notti, CPA, MS
Managing Partner

Nick Notti, CPA, MS Managing Partner, Notti CPA, LLPNick is the managing partner at Notti & Company and has been practicing public accounting since 2001. He received his B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and earned his Masters of Taxation at the University of Alabama on a teaching fellowship. Nick worked for a number of years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP in the San Francisco office with a diverse client base of both public and private companies before joining Notti & Company. Nick focuses on tax planning and compliance for individuals and small to medium sized businesses in various industries, with a specialization in investment partnerships and real estate. He also oversees all audits, reviews, and compilation services for clients. Outside of his professional responsibilities at Notti & Company, Nick enjoys spending his weekends playing tennis at the Rafael Racquet Club, mountain biking on Mt. Tam, and doing home improvement projects. Nick lives in San Rafael with his wife Elizabeth and two children.

Nick Christensen, CPA, MBA
Partner

Nick Christensen, CPA, MBA, Manager, Notti CPA, LLPBorn and raised in San Rafael, Nick joined Notti & Company in January 2010. Prior to acquiring his CPA license, Nick earned his B.A. in Economics from UC San Diego and his Masters in Business Administration from San Francisco State University. Nick works closely with individual clients with their tax planning and filing requirements and with our non-profit entities to ensure tax compliance. While attending UC San Diego, Nick was a four year member of the basketball team, twice earning MVP honors. A sports enthusiast, Nick enjoys spending time outdoors and coaching his two sons various sports teams. Nick currently resides in Corte Madera with his wife Erin and two sons.

Janice Stettinger, CPA
Partner

Janice Stettinger, CPA, Partner,Janice is a graduate of San Francisco State University. She joined Notti & Company in 1989, earned her CPA license in 1993, and became a partner of the firm in 1997. She specializes in small business accounting and complex tax transactions. Janice is also Notti & Company’s computer and software systems engineer. During the time she entered accounting she had a career teaching Jazzercise. She has been involved in the world of physical fitness for over 30 years as a Jazzercise instructor and as a gymnastics instructor co-teaching gymnastics with coaches from the University of Nebraska. She juggled dual careers as an accountant and teaching Jazzercise until 2006 at which time she retired as a Jazzercise instructor. She is still involved in the world of physical fitness and has a passion for hiking. Her newest role is the happy grandmother to four beautiful grandchildren.

Elizabeth Notti, CPA, MS

Elizabeth Notti, CPA, MS, Notti CPA, LLPElizabeth joined Notti & Company in 2010, specializing in audit and taxation of investment partnerships. Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and Masters of Taxation from the University of Alabama. Elizabeth began her career in 2001 at Ernst & Young in San Francisco. Subsequent to Ernst & Young, she has been a fund accountant and administrator for several private investment partnerships. Elizabeth resides in San Rafael with her husband Nick and two children.

Mike Murdoch, Enrolled Agent

Mike joined Notti & Company with over fifteen years of tax and controllership experience at a similarly-sized local CPA firm. He brings this knowledge and experience to the firm as he manages all controllership and write-up services for Notti & Company. Mike earned his accounting degree at the University of Maine during the pre-internet days where it was essential to write code in order to print a spreadsheet which was sent to a printer that was the size of a VW Bug. Mike resides in Mill Valley with his wife and two children, whom he lives to spend time with. He vaguely remembers a former life where in his free time he played golf, basketball, and many other sports.

IN MEMORIAM

Gary E. Notti, Founder
(1944-2021)

Gary passed away in January 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer for over 10 years.  After earning his Bachelors degree and M.B.A., Gary served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army between 1968 and 1970. After his tour of duty he taught accounting at the University of Montana and Indiana University. In 1971, he joined one of the “Big Eight” CPA firms, Peat, Marwick and Mitchell in San Francisco where he was on the national audit instruction staff. In 1977, he became a partner in a local Marin County CPA firm, which he then spun off to form the present day firm of Notti & Company. Gary built this firm on honesty as well as a genuine and deep caring for the people that he always felt honored to call clients. In his honor, we have and will always strive to continue this tradition and way of life.
